Tri-Acne treatment is an innovative three pronged approach to the treatment of acne. All three therapies: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), IPL and Nutritional Therapy have individually achieved significant results with acne. However, the combination of all three therapies simultaneously has proven to be a breakthrough in the natural management of this distressing condition.

IPL – Intense Pulsed Light

Following your MLD with our very experienced massage therapist Nico, you then have a treatment of IPL. 40% of acne bacteria are resistant to common oral antibiotics and the side effects of Roaccutane limit its use. We have known for some time that acne is a photo-responsive condition. IPL light can destroy bacteria and can deliver wavelengths that target both the bacteria and the blocked sebaceous glands. Here at the Pulse Light Clinic we have successfully treated acne and acne Rosacea for over ten years and have developed client specific settings which have helped us consistently obtain optimum results.

Nutritional Aspects of Acne
The skin is a reflection of the health of the internal environment, and the hormonal systems of the body. Acne is an inflammatory condition of the skin and is characterized by the appearance of pimples/spots, blackheads, and whiteheads on facial skin and upper body areas. Teenagers often suffer acne, but adults can develop it too. Acne is not caused by uncleanliness, but is a result of overactive oil producing glands in the skin called sebaceous glands.

Sebaceous glands produce sebum, which is an oily lubricant. If sebum is manufactured faster than it can move through the pores, then a blemish forms. Excessive sebum causes the pores to become sticky which in turn attracts bacteria which get trapped inside the pore. When sebum combines with skin pigments, a blackhead forms, if sebum fills up the scales below the surface a whitehead forms. Whiteheads can build up and spread beneath the skin, they may rupture there causing the inflammation to spread. Sebaceous gland activity may be affected by any one of, or a combination of the following: read more on nutritional aspects of acne

Manual Lymphatic Drainage & Acne

What is it and how does it work?

  1. MLD is a very specific type of massage designed to detoxify your body. We open up the lymphatic system in order to flush out harmful toxins and build up of waste products.
  2. MLD is very effective in our combination Acne treatment as we clean the system of any build up that may be contributing to your skin condition. What we take in comes out!
Sugars, fatty foods, food sensitivities and lifestyle in general have a huge effect on our body and often prevent it from functioning properly which equals problems for you. In this treatment particular attention is paid to the stomach, liver and gastro intestinal area. As well as the use of an extremely potent essential oil blend to assist in your bodies detox.
  3. On the day of treatment there are some very specific guidelines that you need to follow. You will be able to speak to your nurse or practitioner about this prior to treatment.

  6. Often confused with acne, rosacea presents very unsightly red blemishes on the skin. In truth, it does not matter for many that rosacea is not acne, it looks just as distracting and delivers many of the same problems associated with acne, The look of a person can seriously be undermined when such troubling skin issues arise. checking healthcareguru.net here

  9. Melasma Treatments in the past has been notoriously difficult to treat for a few reasons. For one, the skin condition can be chronic but can also have periods of relapse, or times when hyperpigmentation does not show up much at all. For example, a younger female may develop melasma after oral contraceptives that fade with time
